Oil changes are easy – brakes are moderately difficult but do-able. They aren’t the most reliable cars, however. I’d recommend a Caddy. Mine has a whiny compressor and a fuel vent leak (which means it stinks but it doesn’t leak fuel), and I’ve replaced my shocks and air compressor for them. That was insanely expensive and definitely not something the owner can do because you need the computer to calibrate the shocks. It’s probably my last Merc. a7aujla November 7, 2012 Hey where did u get the oil filter opener.. I take it to mb for it’s yearly maintenance, shit is expensive. I knew it would be, but anyways… Could I do my own oil change, it should be similar to yours..what about brakes, mb will charge me $980 for all brakes and rotors. They said with the newer brakes, every time brakes are done, rotors get changed too cause you can’t machine them. Any input would help. I will chk out your other vids. And those of you with 5 speed transmission usually replacing the old shift plate on valve bodys & doing a service most cases fix the problem. if you wanna keep ur tranny working good. I recommend keeping an eye on it for Leaks & fixing them ASAP to avoid problems like these.
